Come learn songs and dances from the Caucasus country of Georgia on Sunday, October 10. Place TBA. From 1-3 p.m., the singers of Zedashe, an ensemble from the medieval walled city of Sighnaghi in Eastern Georgia, will teach some of the three-part harmony chants from the Orthodox Christian liturgy and the folk songs of Georgia that are part of their repertory. Then from 3:30-5 p.m., join Eka Taralashvili and Erekli Kanchurashvili, dancers who perform with Zedashe, in learning some of the traditional Georgian folk dances. Cost is $25/each or $40 for both.
