On Thursday, April 7 at 1:00 PM, Lenny Friedman, 38-year resident of the Rogue Valley, will be showing pictures of the most recent eruption of Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island. Many of the photos were taken by a vulcanologist from the National Park Service who had a fist hand visit to the volcano’s newest eruption. Other photos and videos will be shown of his “walk on flowing lava.” Friedman will describe the causes of earthquakes, tsunamis, history of eruptions of the Cascade Mountain Range and how the Hawaiian Islands were formed. Friedman, neither a geologist or vulcanologist, will present an “Earthquake 101” educational talk with interesting photos and videos. Wisdom Seekers monthly presentations are free and open to all. The Havurah is located at 185 N Mountain Ave. in Ashland. Call 488-7716 for more info.
