The annual Winter Dreams Summer Gardens Symposium sponsored by the Jackson County Master Gardeners Association will be held 9:00-5:00 Saturday November 7 at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, 101 S. Bartlett St. Medford. Thirty-two classes on all aspects of gardening from soil improvement to ways to preserve the harvest and from starting a basic vegetable garden to starting a community garden will be offered in four sessions with an emphasis on sustainability. A series of four classes for beginning gardeners will be provided along with advanced classes for experienced gardeners and classes for everyone in-between. The cost is $40 which includes lunch. Full-time students are $20. Call 776-7371 or email robert.reynolds@oregonstate.edu to have registration information sent. Registration information can also be found at http://extension.oregonstate.edu/sorec/gardening. Registration by November 4 is recommended to guarantee lunch. Registration is also available at the symposium.
