Classes won’t make a virtuoso out of you—that requires a lot of dedication and practice. But they will allow you to be enchanted by the magic of drum orchestration (when two or more drums and percussion instruments are in dialogue with one another). Classes enable you to understand how these rhythmic parts fit together…and how they open the door to groove!Drum music can occur when combining rhythms fit together, and the spirit of players intend to listen to each other while they are playing. These ingredients create the conditions for groove...which cannot be forced or guaranteed. When we play in groove our individual differences melt away and what remains is the joy of the music which heals and nourishes us.The power of drumming is an art, a means of communication and healing, and a way to bring harmony to community.
