Rosh Hashanah: the End of Sacrifice
Because the Havurah is in use we will be meeting at Jackson WellSprings this week. There we have room to move, to do a fire ritual, to innovate. Dress warm.
Our theme is taken from the Torah scripture sometimes read at this time of year: the story of Abraham hearing a call to bind and sacrifice his son Isaac. Our topic of exploration is: The end of sacrifice in our lives: individually and collectively. What will it take for us to stop sacrificing our selves , our integrity, our sons and daughters, i. e. the future generations, other species, our earth herself? With another time of hope for a new and better future at rosh hashanah -
Comes the question: how can I bring sacrifice to an end ?
