Healing from Hiroshima –
Creating a Culture of Peace”
with Norma Nakai Burton M. Div.
This week we remember those who died in Hiroshima and renew our vow to do our part to bring peace on planet Earth.
What positive future do you imagine? New Thought teachers have said “What we can imagine – we can have!”
There is an ancient Shambhala Prophecy about a time of great peace and harmony coming to planet earth wherein the Kingdom of Shambhala represents our vision of the very best future we can imagine. When we get a glimpse of a destination that inspires us, this helps us access the courage and determination needed to move that way. Even if the vision seems impossibly beyond our reach, like a guiding star in the night, it can still give us a direction to head in.
Please help us perform this powerful meditative ritual that will heal your soul and restore your hope.
POEM by Adrienne Rich:
“My heart is moved by all I cannot save.
So much has been destroyed.
I have to cast my lot with those who,
age after age, perversely,
with no extraordinary power,
reconstitute the world.”
Music: Cyrise Beatty Schachter and Richard Williams
