"Mary the Revolutionary "
  with Norma Nakai Burton M.Div.

When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to tell her she would be the mother of the Christ child, she made a statement in return that has rung down through history. Her statement has been called "the Magnificat", also "Mary's Song".  At some points in history the Church has forbidden this passage to be read in poor countries because it might insight a revolution.

Indeed Mary's prophetic vision has maintained a power for over 2000 years and has incited many a revolution in human hearts.  Today as the Divine Feminine perspective rises again, we can expect great things to be happening in our lives and on our planet. Mary's Song incites a radical hope, as Andrew Harvey has written.

We will also be honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe whose feast day was December 12th. She is  a clear example of the revolutionary impact of the hope for the masses.

Let us gather to celebrate the resilient power in our own lives of Mary's Song!

Our musicians are Cyrise Beatty Schachter, Richard Williams along with Talia Rose on the harp.
