                                                                      Dr. Zan E. Nix

The Heart of Courage: Through Music and Poetry

The word courage came from the Latin word “cor” which literally means ‘heart’.

Through her own passionate music and poetry, Dr. Zan Nix will explore the connection between courage and heart and the spiritual practice of ‘ordinary courage’, a term used by author and researcher Brene Brown to describe putting our vulnerability on the line.

With humor, compassion and tenderness, Zan will take us on a journey through courage in everyday life, to live, as the original derivation of the word intended, ‘from the heart’. In reflecting on revelations about loss and gratitude, going from ‘enduring’ to ‘endearing’, she will share the 5 vows that keep her own heart alive with courage, love, faith and playful passion!

Music: Zan Nix, Richard Williams and Cyrise Beatty Schacter
