The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius are the notes of a Roman Emperor written to himself to guide him in ruling an empire.  He has been read for almost 2000 years because he has something to say to everyone in anytime. In this talk we will examine his unique views on the spiritual nature of the universe that gave rise to this timeless teaching about how best to be in direct contact with the real world we live in.

Rev. Dr. Kim Kaiser is both an ordained minister of the Centers for Spiritual Living and a Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco.   He is also Academic Dean of the Holmes Institute ministerial training program.  As a psychologist, he has twenty years of experience as a practicing psychotherapist.  Before that, his “first career” was being a Zen Buddhist priest living in community for fifteen years.  As a monk, minister, psychologist and educator, his mission is
to point to the One who is living Its life as you.
