Transition Town Ashland invites you to our next Introduction meeting, where you can learn about this exciting, community-based movement to create a sustainable future. The meeting will be held on this coming Thursday, April 1, at 7 p.m., at Peace House, 543 S. Mountain, just above SOU, in Ashland.We host these Introduction meetings on the First Thursday of every month. On the Third Thursday of every month, we host Community Action Planning meetings. The next Action Planning meeting will be held on Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m., at the Ashland Library, downstairs in the Gresham Room. We recommend that you attend an Introduction meeting before you come to an Action Planning meeting.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------EARTH DAYLast year, Earth Day in Ashland was a lively, colorful event that drew big, cheerful crowds. Check out our online photo album. Transition Town Ashland was there, and we had some excellent conversations with people who visited our booth.The official calendar date for Earth Day is April 22, but here in Ashland, the big celebration will be held on Saturday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the grounds of ScienceWorks, 1500 East Main St. Here's the Ashland Earth Day Website: http://www.parks.ashland.or.us/earthday/We'll be there again this year, and we're inviting people in the community to get involved.
