We host these Introduction meetings on the First Thursday of every month.------------------------------------------------------------------------Your Ideas, Open SpaceFor over a year, Transition Town Ashland has been working to educate local residents about the issues of Climate Change, Peak Oil, and economic instability, and about ways that our people can learn and plan and act together to shape a community that is increasingly sustainable and resilient. Here's a partial listing of our TTA activities: We host Introduction and Action Planning meetings every month, we maintain an informative Website at www.transitiontownashland.org, and we publish Media Outreach announcements. We appear at community events like the Fourth of July and Earth Day, we reach out to community groups, and we offer workshops. All of this is useful, but there's still much more to do, to help facilitate the changes our society needs to make. It's a big job, one that needs focus, intelligence, wise hearts and creativity. Transition Town Ashland needs to become more visible and vital and effective, to find new ways to reach people, to engage people's interest and attention and energy, to develop projects that will attract participants and be visible to the larger community.------------------------------------------------------------------------We value the creative genius of our local community, and we want to take the process up a notch! We invite you to bring your vision, your ideas and your energy to this enterprise.------------------------------------------------------------------------There are a number of ways to do that:» Attend one of our Action Planning meetings, held on the Third Thursday of every month, downstairs at the Ashland Public Library, at 7 pm.» Email us your ideas, offers of energy or other resources, etc., at ttacontact@gmail.com.» ATTEND THE TTA OPEN SPACE, to be held in May.An Open Space is a way to enable all kinds of people to create inspired meetings and projects and organizations. It's a form of effective dialog and shared creativity used by many Transition Towns around the world. To facilitate a good turn-out, we need to determine the best dates available for our participants.
