Transition Town Ashland invites you to our next Introduction meeting, where you can learn about this exciting, community-driven movement to create a sustainable future. The meeting will be held on this coming Thursday, November 5th, at 7 p.m., at Peace House, 543 S. Mountain, just above SOU, in Ashland.The presentation has been updated, so even if you've seen the Introduction before, come see the new version, and connect with your neighbors.We host these Introduction meetings on the First Thursday of every month. On the Third Thursday of every month, we host Community Action Planning meetings, where Action Groups are formed and network and report on their progress. The next one will be held on Thursday, November 19, at 7 p.m., in the Gresham Room, downstairs at the Ashland Public Library. We recommend that you attend an Introduction meeting before you come to an Action Planning meeting.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------We're looking for a laptop computerWhen we do public presentations, we use a PowerPoint slideshow to help us convey the information. A laptop computer is required to give the presentation, but not all of us who are planning to "go on the road" own a laptop. We're looking for a laptop that's in good shape -- Windows or Linux or Mac -- ready for high-speed Internet, with a USB port, preferably with at least a GB of RAM.
