Bernard Hartman, Ph.D. will trace the history of Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by means of natural selection and the scientific controversy that immediately followed publication of his Origin of Species and that continues today. The 150th anniversary of the publication is being celebrated around the world during November 2009.This presentation is part of a free, monthly series that is sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at SOU and open to the public.
