Camelot’s production of “The Oldest Living Graduate” stars the Rogue Valley’s ‘oldest living working actor,’ 96-year-old Grant Shepard. A former professor of English and Theater Arts, since retiring Shepard has been directing and acting in community theatres in Ventura county, CA and in the Rogue Valley. He has seen most recently at Camelot in “A Few Good Men, Funny Girl,” “Grapes of Wrath,” “Dancing at Lughnasa,” “Shenandoah,” “Gigi” and “Frost/Nixon.” The President of the Board for Ashland Community Theatre, Shepard recently starred as Macbeth in Randall Theatre’s “Scots on the Rocks.”
The production also features A.J. Falk, Casey Faubion, Bob Herried, Tim Kelly, Brandon Manley, Robin McMillan, Dennis Nicomede and Rose Passione. Camelot veteran Barbara Rains directs the show. Rains studied Theatre Arts at Northeastern State University and has been working in theatre for over twenty years. Directing credits include “And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank,” “The Trail of Tears,” “James and The Giant Peach,” and “Curse of the Starving Class.”
"The Oldest Living Graduate” plays at Camelot for three performances only, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, August 21, 22 and 23 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. Reserved seating is available for an additional $2 per ticket. Tickets by phone or in person at the theater box office from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and one hour before performances.
