"A Journey through Dance into the Spirit of Sound "Sunday April 26th @ Stillwater, AshlandJoin us once again for a night of tribal dance mania featuring one of San Francisco's popular World Electronica acts Outersect.Created by electronic producer Rob Rayle's, the goal of Outersect is to present a unique sound that blends elements of acoustic with electronic music. The intention is to create melodic compositions with deep tribal overlays powered by driving of dance beats. Outersect fuse styles and influences from around the world pushing the borders of "world electronica", merging breakbeat, downtempo and dub.Hosting the night once again will be Medicine Drum, the internationally renowned tribal electronica act now residing in Ashland Oregon. Originally from London, Medicine Drum has traveled the world, touring with some of the biggest names in electronica including Moby, The Chemical Brothers and the Orb.The night will also celebrate the launch of the new Desert Dwellers CD, "Down Tempe Dub - Roots" with a live performance by Rara Avis.Tracing the routes of the ancient Silk Road, Desert Dwellers lead an electro-mystic exploration of nomadic music—and the timeless concept of groove. A caravan of sound drawing from East Asia to the Mediterranean moves through a sensual psy-chill soundscape, bridging the millennia and connecting cultural past to musical future.This is a night not to be missed.
