Dear Ashland friends,
You are invited to join our third, monthly Sustainable Community Leaders Dialogue, next Tuesday, August 19, 6:30 p.m. at the Ashland Public Library downstairs in the Gresham room.
Over the past two meetings we have:
• introduced the 12 sector, whole-system organizing model and received presentations from community leaders within 10 of the 12 sectors.
• discussed and faced the consequences of inaction, conflict and lack of cooperation among community leaders from various sectors.
The theme this month is: common principles/patterns across all 12 sectors that when discerned will lead toward effective strategies for connecting/synergizing "what's working."
The facilitation team (Sharon, Art, Mary, Shiloh, Melisa, Dominic and Joseph) will seek to manage the healthy tension between a strong desire for immediate effective action, and the equally strong desire to allow what is seeking to emerge to emerge.
As always, please feel free to reach out to other leaders -- formal and informal -- in the community to engage them in this dialogue. Our FOURTH meeting will be September 15 at 6:30pm.
Thank you!
Joseph

INTENTION OF THIS DIALOGUE SERIES
The intent of this monthly meeting is to cross pollinate a number of informal community dialogues that have been taking place in Ashland over the last several months, including a common ground dialogue, a citizen empowerment dialogue, a community dialogue and various sustainability dialogues.
The basic organizing model will be around the following 12 sectors, the same whole-system organizing model recently adopted by the national Tipping Point Network, a network of visionary leaders seeking to catalyze a transformation from survival to sustained abundance.
