Southern Oregon Willamette Writers Meeting Open to Everyone:Saturday, March 6th, Morning Session: (Free to members-$5.00 for visitors) 9:30-12:00.Creating a Writer’s Platform with Heart, Passion, and Profitability with Author Alissa LukaraFor anyone hoping to publish their nonfiction or fiction book, the time to create a writer’s platform is now---while you are still writing. Alissa will touch on 10 steps to building a presence (even if you are an introvert) through blogging, social networking, You Tube, podcasting, workshops, conferences, teleconferences, websites, ezines, and other internet opportunities. Many of these are tailored for the budget-conscious. Alissa has worked with many publisher’s PR people, who published their author’s books on her website, Lifechallenges.org. Alissa will provide examples of effective and out-of-the box author platforms that attracted these publishers and helped market their books.Alissa is the author of the memoir, Riding Grace: A Triumph of the Soul (Silver Light, 2007), and an editor.
