Sing-Along with SASSY!If you love hearing and singing Broadway and movie show tunes, then you'll love to participate in SASSY! (Stage and Screen Sing-Along, Yeah!) monthly events. The next gathering will be on Sunday, March 28, 7:00-9:00 PM at Mountain Meadows Community Clubhouse, 857 Mountain Meadows Drive, Ashland.SASSY! began last year with many enthusiastic attendees who continue to enjoy getting together for a fun evening with their friends and neighbors in the song-fest. And, no, you don't have to sound like Ethel Merman or Robert Goulet to partake. Just leave that to the musical theatre pros leading the songs: local performers Laura Derocher and David Gabriel, as well as their talented accompanist, Darcy Danielson (Musical Director at OSF). They make sure that everyone has a fun time! One attendee commented, "I didn't realize I could get such a kick singing along with others, as if we were all in a Broadway chorus!"The March 28 SASSY! celebrates the arrival of Spring. Songs on the menu include "It Might As Well Be Spring," "Younger Than Springtime," and other great classics. A song list is displayed so attendees can request which songs they want to sing. Lyrics of selected songs are displayed on a large screen so it's easy to sing along. And, if you want lead a particular musical theatre song, just bring the sheet music with you and see Darcy before the evening begins.SASSY! is just $5.00 for adults, $2.50 for students. Refreshments are served at intermission. Sunday, March 28, 7:00-9:00 PM at Mountain Meadows Community Clubhouse, 857 Mountain Meadows Drive, Ashland.
