(Ashland, Ore.) – The Ashland Book and Author Festival will be back for its second year on Saturday, June 22, 2013. From 10 am to 5 pm, visitors can enjoy the many events taking place under one roof, at Southern Oregon University’s Hannon Library.

The all-day exhibit fair will feature authors, publishers, and book vendors from Northern California, Southern Oregon, and the Portland area. Authors will be available to sell and sign books, give readings, and discuss their works with the public. Visitors can also attend workshops and panel discussions on a variety of topics such as Shakespeare, book collecting, and fantasy fiction. Other activities like poetic performances, storytelling, and calligraphy demonstrations offer something of interest to just about anyone.

The Kids Corner, open 10 am-12 pm and 1 pm-3 pm, will host children’s activities like storytelling and bookmaking under the guidance of certified childcare providers. Appropriate for ages 3-10.
