Screenwriting: Breaking In From Oregon with Cynthia Whitcomb, Saturday, April 2

Screenwriting Pro Cynthia Whitcomb wrote for films and television for 30 years. She has been nominated for the Emmy, Cable Ace, and Writers Guild of America Awards among others. She has sold more than 70 screenplays and nearly 30 have been produced for prime time television. She has written for such actors as Jason Robards, Ellen Burstyn, Anjelica Huston, Kevin Spacey and Martin Sheen. Four years ago she decided to pursue her lifeline passion and devote herself to writing for the theatre. Since January 2007, she has written 8 plays. Holidazed, co-authored with Marc Acito, played the last two holiday seasons on Artists Repertory's mainstage. She has also been produced Off Broadway, at Portland Center Stage’s new play festival, the Fertile Ground Festival at Artists Rep, was a finalist for the Eugene O’Neill Award and is currently nominated for the Oregon Book Award for drama. Also President of Willamette Writers, she lives in Wilsonville.
