ScienceWorks presents its first Science Pub at Standing Stone Brewery in Ashland on April 15 at 5pm.  David Moen, Wildlife Biologist from the Ventana Wildlife Society, and Tiana Williams of the Yoruk Tribe Wildlife Program will present their work on the restoration of condor populations in the Pacific NorthWest. 

David will answer the questions How does the Condor story speak to the larger issue of Sustainability? and How can successful restoration help heal historical bio-cultural divides?

Tiana will be discussing the cultural significance of California condor to the Yurok and surrounding tribes, as well as how as how traditional knowledge of the condor has guided and informed the Yurok California Condor Reintroduction Initiative.
