Sacred Salmon Gathering and Feast on the Applegate River at Kanaka Flats with Grandmother Aggie Pilgrim | Grants Pass Intertribal Powwow Community - THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY (Salmon Feast at 12:30pm on Saturday) > Thursday through Sunday for campers and helpers > Salmon Feast around 12:30 on Saturday > Bring: Potluck item and gift for the donation jar Directions to Kanaka Flats: Take Hwy 238 from Grants Pass or Medford, and turn south at Ruch. Drive about 15 miles, following the Applegate River. Just before the Applegate Dam, watch for signs and turn right on the dirt road that leads to the ceremonial area at Kanaka Flats. Please drive slowly to keep the dust down. This site is reserved for the use of the Takelma Intertribal Project.
