When sung with devotion one can feel ecstasy as the invoking of the Divine brings forth joy to every cell of your body!Eostar Kamala is based in Eugene, where she is the founder of “Fearless Love” a devotional world folk band that plays her original compositions. A very prolific songwriter, Eostar draws her inspiration from various spiritual traditions around the world, all of which she considers to be expressions of the same underlying human feeling of devotion and longing for union with our Divine Essence. . Her music is influenced by folk traditions such as Celtic, Hungarian, Indian, Reggae as well as various modern World Music performers. It is the fusion of these elements with Eostar’s need to express her mystical experiences that characterizes best her unique musical genre. Her lyrics resonate with great depth of feeling and understanding of the human experience. Eostar has performed with many talented musicians such as Glenn Falkenberg (harp), Deva Priyo (sarod, flamenco guitar, birimbao), Ankush Wimavala (tabla) and Richard Williams (bouzouki, sakahachi) Shimshai (singer-songwriter) and Scott Huckabay (guitar). She has played widely along the West Coast from Seattle to the Bay Area and at festivals such as the Oregon Country Fair, the Mystic Garden Party (Ashland), the Tayberry Reggae and Folk festival, the Santa Barbara Raw Spirit Festival and the Seattle Folk Festival among many others. Eostar’s first album “Devotion” with “Fearless Love” recorded at Om Studios was released in the Fall of 2008.
