The Rogue Valley Symphony will present an orchestra concert at 7:30pm on Sat., Feb. 26, 2011 in Medford at the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater. Music Director, Martin Majkut, will present a preconcert talk one hour before the performance. Cellist Elinor Frey will be featured on Schumann’s “Cello Concerto”. Members of the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon (YSSO) will be joining the RVS for Dvorak’s “Slavonic Dances.” The RVS will also perform Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite” and local artists’ works inspired by the Stravinsky will be displayed in the lobby.
