Business Resource Fair offers education, information and networking. The sixth annual Rogue Valley Business Resource Fair is scheduled on October 11th, from 9 am to 2 pm. The fair will be held at the new Higher Education Center, a joint RCC and SOU building in downtown Medford, between 8th and 9th on Bartlett Street. The Business Fair will feature 14 seminars on business topics, such as marketing, doing business on the Internet, hiring employees versus using independent contractors, tips on minimizing taxes, and more. In addition, 25 exhibitors from industry associations, government and nonprofit organizations will be available for one-on-one consultations. Among the exhibitors are Women Entrepreneurs of Southern Oregon, Heart of Medford Business Association, Southern Oregon Economic Development Inc, SCORE, IRS, Secretary of State – just to name a few. This year will also feature new exhibitors from the Oregon Department of Energy and the US DA Business & Cooperative Programs. These agency representatives will share information about the extensive small business programs - cash incentives and tax breaks – available for green, sustainable energy solutions. Admission is free.
