RespectAshland.org will be sponsoring a community rally to support the Ashland City Council in the appeal to locate AT&T’s new cell tower in the best location.The rally will be held on Tuesday, October 5th in Garfield park. Picnic and listen to music with Jeff Pevar, Rara Avis and Dirk Price (from Rogue Suspects) at 5:45pm. A march to the City Council meeting starts at 6:30. AT&T wants to put a cell tower on top of the Ashland Cinema complex. The city ordinance requiring collocation of cell towers hasn’t been followed.A group of concerned citizens (RespectAshland.org) is asking the Ashland City Council to follow the law and not give AT&T special treatment.Website is http://respectashland.org/index.html.
