Course Dates: Saturday, Jan. 30 1:30pm – 4pmCourse Title: Rainbow of Color: make your own kaleidoscopes!Ages: 13 - AdultInstructor: Lisa AmeijideTuition: $31.25 + $9.00 Materials Fee*Optional Materials List- Colored, transluscent small items from broken toys or jewelry that can be used inside your kaleidoscope.- bits and bobs to decorate the outside of your kaleidoscope: beads, veneer, fabric scraps, wood, art paper… (the art center has a lot of decorative materials for you to use, too!)Course DescriptionKaleidoscopes are mysterious and happy creations, and we can make them ourselves! We’ll start with a little history of the kaleidoscope and finish up with everyone taking home their own, self-made scope. Create your own distinctive 10” scope to give as a fabulous gift (Valentine’s day is approaching), or to enjoy just for yourself.Instructor BiographyLisa Ameijide has been a professional artist for over 30 years. She has a BFA from The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and is a licensed teacher. Lisa’s professional background includes: Art Director, Photographer, Illustrator, Puppet Maker and currently she is illustrating her own children’s book.
