The 6th annual Peace Village Festival kicks off on August 17th-19th in the beautiful back meadow at Jackson WellSprings in Ashland, Oregon — replete with a wide variety of music including Reggae, Rock, Folk, Kirtan, Gypsy, Jam Band, Latin, Inspirational, and Soul, plus African Drum and Japanese Taiko Drum sets, and dance performances, all with a common goal of uniting in the spirit of peace.
Friday’s headline band is Jeff Pevar and friends, featuring guitar legend Jeff Pevar, who has toured and recorded with hundreds of bands and performers, including Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Rickie Lee Jones, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash. On Saturday, California jamband WEB of ONE will headline the night along with folk earth goddesses Diane Patterson and SaraTone. Jamaican born soul & reggae singer Faraji (currently from New York City), the State of Jefferson band, and Frankie Hernandez are headlining on Sunday. Plus… there is an exciting surprise act to close the show out Sunday night. There will also be late night after-parties each night, with two kirtan bands on Friday night; Dance Priestess Samantha Sweetwater leading a Dancing Freedom ecstatic dance experience on Saturday night with Solus; and The Human Revolution to cap off the event on Sunday late night. There will be twenty four bands in all, plus dance performances, speakers, workshops, and much more.
Advance tickets at Jackson Wellsprings, Hemporium and the Music Coop in Ashland, Bad Ass Coffee in Medford, Heartsong in Grants Pass and the Williams Store and online at www.PeaceVillageFestival.org.
