Here we are between holidays, between new and full moons. The 'in-between' times. All that we see and believe to be solid in this world is, at the molecular level, comprised of only the tiniest bit of substance suspended in a vast amount (99 % +) of open space. Lots of 'in-between'. Music can be defined as a string of notes that finds its completion with the help (and necessity) of the silent spaces 'in-between'.This week's dance is an exploration of the spaces 'in-between', the vast openness that supports All-That-Is and All-That-Happens, the 'ongoingness principle' that urges all life into being and doing. Or we could simply call it Love. You know what to do. There will NOT be dancing on Wednesday, Dec. 30 and Friday, Jan. 1 for good reason......the Thursday in between is New Year's Eve, and we've decided on something special this year:It is hereby decreed that the queens and king of the evening dances are collaborating on a Royal Flush of Fun and Frivolity for the New Year's Celebration!Sarah, Lizzi, Gwendolyn, and Jerry invite you to the biggest, bestest, (and last) night of dancing of 2009. Come and enjoy this delicious, juicy, saucy, meaty offering from Body Choir, TranscenDance, RaDiAnce, and Open Heart Dance together at one time. This danceable feast will be presented from 8:00 pm 'til 12:30-ish . Refreshments will be served. $20 at the door. We invite you to wear your most inspired, dance-friendly finery. Come bring in the new year with the finest dance tribe (yours!) in all the land.
