Dear Dancing Friends, For those who would like to continue the dancing from New Year's Eve . . . and for those who may be tucked away in their beds long before midnight and would like to start out the New Year dancing . . . . . . There will be an Ecstatic Dance on New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1st, 2009 starting an hour later at 11:30AM! And I am truly honored to have Bridget Wolf as a guest performer. Bridget has an amazing voice and will be singing an opening song and playing the keyboard. The song she has selected to open with, is one she's written herself called, "Dive Deep". It feels like the perfect song to start out the New Year! She will also be honoring us with a closing song as well. I am also thankful to Collin Palmerston who will be bringing 2 extra speakers and an amplifier to really bring in some extra sound for New Year's Day, and also enable Bridget to perform! And a BIG THANK YOU to Tim Westfeldt, who assists and supports me in bringing this dance to the community! The schedule is as follows: 11:30AM - Slow, meditative music 11:55AM - Gather in circle for a 5 minute silent meditation 12:00PM - Bringing in the New Year with the singing bowl and a group "OM" 12:01PM - Bridget Wolf singing "Dive Deep" followed by recorded world music (sometimes accompanied by live drumming) 1:20PM - Bridget Wolf singing a final closing song 1:25PM - Closing Circle followed by some Sparkling Organic Apple Juice & Christmas Cookies! So let's really "Dive Deep" into the dance, into the New Year, into life, into our "soul soil" . . . and into our connections with each other.
