Patrick Tovatt was educated at Harvard College, Antioch College and London School of Film Technique, Tovatt spenty forty-five years on the wicked stage as actor, director and playwright. Retiring to devote fulltime to parenting his terrific son, Daniel, he found himself in southern Oregon after many years in NYC, LA and assorted theatre cities across the globe.
Never bored and always curious, Tovat pursues any area of interest with an omnivores’s appetite. Of particular interest (one among many) is the role of myth in social history. A secular humanist for most of his life, he is especially fascinated by the dynamic between belief systems and socio/economic activity.
Retired from the stage but not from performing, Tovatt is now actively writing and recording music, primarily with political, personal and social justice themes.
He lives in Talent OR and will sing to anyone who will listen.
