MOMENT IN TIME DANCE COMPANY

Right Now!

Ashland’s own Moment in Time Modern Dance Company, in celebration of their 15th Anniversary, welcomes you to join us for “Right Now,” a dance show highlighting the full spectrum of the human experience: joy, loss, fear, happiness, presence, and gratitude.  We will be offering two Saturday performances in May, the 14th and 21st. at 7:30 p.m. at Oak Street Dance Studio in Ashland.  We will feature four new modern dances of original choreography by Rosalind Schrodt, the Artistic Director, and two new dances from company members Joyce Galvin and Leah Schrodt.

Dancers in the company include Katie Ali, Joyce Galvin, Roxanne Stone, Leah Schrodt and Rosalind Schrodt. This Ashland troupe was founded in 1996 by artistic director Rosalind Schrodt whose goal is to use the medium of modern dance to reflect the present moment and to celebrate the creativity and beauty inherent in the human experience. Through Rosalind’s life time of experience in modern dance as a dancer, choreographer, and artistic director, she strives to further enrich this already culturally rich theater and art community.

"Right Now" will bring some Ashland's best resident artists together. In addition to a dance concert, singer/songwriter Gary Schrodt will perform several original new songs for the first time.   Gary Schrodt’s songs are works of beautiful poetry reflecting his thoughts on “Right Now.” Though involved in the arts his entire life, Mr. Schrodt came to music just six years ago. Through his original work he brings his depth and artistry together in a style completely his own.   He will be accompanied by Gary Creek on lead guitar.

The show is appropriate entertainment for all ages and an inspiration for budding artists. We welcome you to join us, in celebration of creativity, music, dance and the blessing of being.
