Michael Stillwater, recording artist and healer, offers his workshop Song Sanctuary: Freeing Our Voice for Healing and Transformation, at the Geos Building (formerly called the Headwaters Building), 84 4th St., Ashland, on Sunday, April 24, 2-5 p.m.  Cost is $30.  Register on-line at www.stclairevents.com or by calling 541-535-3562.

The workshop includes SongSourcing, a 'playshop' for healing, a refuge for creativity, freedom for expression, an effortless approach to vocal presence. Discover the joy of spontaneous song-making through a simple yet highly effective integrative method for creative self-expression. Participants are guided past self-consciousness and self-judgment into what is, for many, a profound reconnection with self and opening to others.

The Honoring Ceremony also will be offered. The Honoring combines the transformative power of music, through newly created songs born in the present moment, with the shared intention of all assembled. The resulting confirmation, insight, empowerment and blessing is beneficial for the direct recipient of the song and the others present.

Produced by St. Clair Productions in conjunction with Unity of Ashland, Stillwater presents ChantWave: A Celebration of Song plus a showing of his new documentary “In Search of the Great Song”at Havurah Shir Hadash, 185 N. Mountain, Ashland, on Saturday, April 23, 8 p.m.  Tickets are $20 in advance, $22 at the door, $10 for teens 12-17 and free under 12.  Tickets may be purchased at www.stclairevents.com, at the Music Coop in downtown Ashland, or by calling 541-535-3562.
