Eugene Author and U of O teacher Melissa Hart will be the speaker at Willamette Writers monthly meeting Sat., Jan. 8.

Melissa will talk about "How to Sell Book length Fiction and Memoir" covering techniques that will impress
agents and editors, including how to craft winning querys, where to find
the ideal agent/editor and how to approach him/her. Melissa is high energy, a lot of fun and presents great information. $5 for non-members. Members free. Morning session starts at 10 (9:30 - networking).

The afternoon workshop ($30), starts at 1:00 PM)  is "Plot, Setting, Characterization
and Dialogue-Key elements in Fiction and Memoir"

The afternoon workshop is interactive, so bring examples of your writing projects/manuscripts.

a summer course in memoir for U.C. Berkeley's online extension
program.  She's a contributing editor at The Writer Magazine.
