An irreverent Seattle singer/comic, Koch (“Coke”) is a deliciously warped mix of comedy, theater, and demented songs. She has released 4 solo recordings, is one-half of hilarious sketch-comedy duo, Dos Fallopia ("My Breasts Are Out of Control"), and is an alumnus of cult quartet Venus Envy ("I'll Be A Homo for Xmas"). She performs at folk and comedy festivals all over the world, and has shared the stage with Steve Martin, Dave Brubeck, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Kate Clinton, and Janis Ian.Koch grew up in Ashland and started her musical career in the Rogue Valley, performing with her brother David. She was a regular performer at popular Ashland club Jazmin's, and reunites for this concert with her former boss, Rabbi David. Rabbi David says, "Lisa is a one-of-a-kind comedian. It's no secret that I adore her both personally and professionally. I used to go hear her sing with her brother at the old Mark Anthony Hotel in the early 1970's. Rather than dividing people, her comedy brings people closer together. Her music celebrates diversity, and you end up with a tear in your eye at the same time as you are laughing. Lisa is a jewel! It is such an honor to host her once again at the Havurah."Lisa has co-written such warped cabaret shows as "The Carpeters: Uncomfortably Close To You," "Deja Poo" and “Ham for the Holidays: Swine, Women and Song.” She has appeared in two one-woman shows at Oregon Cabaret Theatre (“Two’s Company, I’m a Crowd” and "Return to Planet Lisa"). Lisa also finds time to act in regional theater, appearing in "The Vagina Monologues,” "Dirty Blonde,” and as the Wicked Witch of the West in “The Wizard of Oz” (5th Ave Theatre).
