Explore the amazing properties of the air around us at ScienceWorks’ Lighter Than Air weekend, February 9 & 10. Make hot air balloons with tea bags, play with bubbles in unusual ways, test the floatability of your own creations and more! Saturday, if the weather cooperates, we’ll have a hot air balloon on site with the opportunity for you to take a ride. Sunday see powerful forces in action as we crush a 55 gallon drum with just air! Regular museum admissions apply. Extra charge for hot air balloon rides. Hours are 10am – 5pm with activities from 11am-1pm and 1:30-4pm each day.
