Course can be taken for professional development and/or personal growth and healing.

This course is aimed at refining the skills needed to be an effective Hakomi therapist. It covers all the refinements made to the method over the last twenty years, plus many of the techniques used in the original version of the method. The skills taught include: State of Mind, Relational, Observational, Modeling, Experimental, support for Healing. The training includes extended practice and supervised practice sessions. Additional trainers will be assisting. A training handbook is provided.

Completion of Hakomi Level 1 is a pre-requisite for this course. Exemptions may be granted on a case by case basis. In case you missed them, the first modules will be offered again in the Spring and Summer.

This course is led by Marina McDonald and Adama Hamilton.

FACILITATOR BIOS:
Adama Hamilton apprenticed and co-taught with Ron Kurtz, originator of The Hakomi Method, extremely closely during the last eight years of Ron’s life. Along with Marina McDonald, he was entrusted to teach and showcase Ron’s refinements and methodology the way Ron saw it at its most polished. He was in fact named in Ron’s Last Will and Testament as one of the "true representatives and holders, legally and spiritually, of Ron’s legacy.”

Marina McDonald trained and apprenticed with Ron Kurtz, originator of The Hakomi Method, for over 14 years. Along with Adama Hamilton, she was entrusted to teach and showcase Ron’s refinements and methodology the way Ron saw it at its most polished. She is the director of the new Ron Kurtz Center and founder and director of Marina McDonald’s Movements of Love Community in Ashland, Oregon.
