Formerly a declared agnostic, Oroc's introduction to this sacred medicine revealed to him the existence of the infinite realms of energy and information that have been known to Mystics since the beginning of time; an experience that irreversibly convinced him of the existence of God."Tryptamine Palace' is the story of the five years after Oroc's mystical initiation, when he would embark on a journey that would take him all over the planet in search of some explanation for his radically new spiritual world-view, that included adventures in India, the Burning Man festival, and searching for the Sonoran Desert Toad, the only entheogen-producing animal on earth. 'Tryptamine Palace' is also a sustained investigation into fields as diverse as scalar physics, cultural anthropology, consciousness studies, and the histories of alchemy and mysticism. An investigation into the very fabric of reality, from which Oroc believes that he has found answers in the fields at the cutting edge of modern science that not only explain his personal experiences, and entheogenic experiences in general, but also allow for a scientific viewpoint that recognizes the reality of the existence of God.Originally gifted at Burning Man in 2006 and 2007, this final and much evolved version of 'Tryptamine Palace' has now been published in 2009 by the respected meta-physical publisher Inner Traditions, and is now available online, or at good bookstores everywhere! James will also be signing copies of his book and will have them available for purchase at the presentation.Presenter's Biography:Journalist, photographer, and artist James Oroc was born in the small South Pacific nation of Aotearoa. Since 1998 he has been pursuing and reporting on the cutting edge of extreme sports in more than 40 countries around the globe, his work appearing in magazines, films, and on MTV Sports. He has been a member of the Burning Man community since 1999, and he is also involved in the documentation and advancement of "Alternative Culture."
