Set Your Intention for the New Year with iRest Yoga Nidra

iRest is a modern, body-based meditative practice based on the ancient tradition of yoga nidra. It helps people to relax deeply, releasing stress and tension and bringing a sense of resiliency and trust in one's self in the face of life's challenges. It cultivates a sense of intrinsic joy and well-being, and teaches life skills that enable people to integrate and let go of past issues and find vitality and calm.

The workshop will begin with some simple stretching and movement to settle the body. All the movements can be adapted to people with challenges. Following this, there will be a short period of introduction to the technique.  Next, while you are comfortably seated or lying down, I'll guide you through a body-based meditation. For more information on the iRest method, visit my website at deepspringyoga.org.  While you're deeply relaxed, we will work with an intention for the New Year. At the end of the workshop, I'll offer tips on how to continue working with your intention. 
 
This workshop is suitable for people new to yoga and seasoned practitioners alike.

The studio supplies blankets and mats, but you are welcome to bring your own. It is especially nice to make yourself comfortable with cushions or pillows.

Cost: $25
Special offer: $20 for teachers, for Deep Spring Yoga students, and $20 per person when registering for more than one person together.
