Join WALK-IN movie soundtrack composer Jeff Pevar and special guest Danforth Comins for a live performance TODAY Friday June 22 Live at the Varsity Theatre in Ashland as part of the 7pm screening of the local feature film, WALK-IN. After the performance, the film will be shown in its entirety followed by a special Q&A session with Jeff Pevar and writer/director Scott Blum. This special event celebrates the release of the WALK-IN movie soundtrack CD which is available at the theater after the special event, and at the Music Coop, and on-line retailers including iTunes. The local feature film, Walk-In, stars Oregon Shakespeare Festival actors Danforth Comins, Miriam Laube and other popular OSF performers. The movie is written and directed by Ashland resident Scott Blum and is based on his best-selling novel, Summer's Path. It premiered locally at the 2012 Ashland Film Festival and was a finalist for Best Feature Film at the Spirit Quest Film Festival in Pennsylvania . This unique film is about a man with a fatal disease that meets an angel in his dreams who agrees to take over his diseased body in return for giving him the body of a puppy. Walk-In was filmed on location in Ashland, Medford and Merlin, and features an evocative soundtrack by renowned musician, Jeff Pevar.
 
Jeff Pevar is an American musician who has recorded and toured with hundreds of renowned artists and is a member of CPR with David Crosby. Although primarily a guitarist, he is also a multi-instumentalist, also playing bass, mandolin, lap steel, dobro and more. Jeff records his own music, composes music for film scores and also produces other artists. Some of the musicians Jeff has recorded and/or toured with include Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Donald Fagen's Rock & Soul,James Taylor, Marc Cohn,  Ray Charles,  Joe Cocker, Jimmy Webb,  Rickie Lee Jones, Dr. John, Carly Simon, Kenny Loggins, Wilson Pickett, Jazz is Dead, Meat Loaf, Phil Colins, Aztec Two-Step, Richie Havens, Odetta, Jonatha Brooke, Willy Deville and Peter Galway.
