On Monday, March 21 at 7:30 PM the Havurah is hosting an Interfaith Spring Equinox gathering as part of a series of interfaith events each year: at the winter and summer solstice, and at the vernal and autumnal equinox.
For the upcoming Vernal Equinox representatives include Gene Burnett, whose music explores the ecology of human relationships, based on the Taoist idea of using less force and following an inner sense of rightness, Rev. Leslie Becknell Marx, minster at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, an inclusive religious community which honors wisdom from varied traditions, Asad Obaido a Muslim from Afghanistan representing the Southern Oregon Muslim community, and finally Rabbi David Zaslow, spiritual leader of the Havurah, who will be representing the Jewish Community. Singer/Songwriters Laura Berman & Craig Benelli, the pop-inspirational duo, 4 Stories High, will be performing their original music. The Havurah is located at 185 N. Mountain Ave. in Ashland. Call 488-7716 for more info. The event is free and open to all. Donations gratefully accepted to support the speakers.
