Aum Awakening Center is very proud to host a two day Indian Head Massage training here in Ashland. Indian Head Massage (IHM) has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. It is based on the ayurvedic system of healing. To this day, it is an integral part in Indian families, bringing relaxation and healing on a daily basis. This massage also has a place in the Indian rites and rituals. You will learn the traditional technique in this training.

IHM is easy, fun and amazingly beneficial for all ages and professions. The training covers basic techniques and enables participants to effectively give a good Indian Head Massage. After some practise, the participant may offer the massage professionally. No previous massage skills are necessary.

Devapria, who is from India, started her formal training in body work at the age of sixteen. But she started giving indian head massages to her family members at a much earlier age. This is a form that is passed down from mother to daughter since centuries. After having trained extensively in many modalities, Devapria has chosen to share this technique. We are very lucky to have her here in Ashland.
