On Sunday June 29 at 4:30 pm, Ka Pi’o O Ke Anuenue, Ashland’s very own Hula Halau (school), presents a Hawaiian lu’au and fundraiser at Belle Fiore Winery in Ashland. “Hula in the Hills: A Hawaiian Lu’au” features an authentic hula show, along with pre-show entertainment and activities. From 4:30 pm to 6 pm, before the hula show begins, attendees are encouraged to enjoy the vineyard’s panoramic views and beautiful surroundings as they listen to live Hawaiian music by popular Hawaiian band Ha’ena, savor a glass of Belle Fiore wine (adult General Admission or VIP Pass tickets include one glass of wine), enjoy a Hawaiian food dinner, browse colorful Hawaiiana from local vendors, and place bids on Silent Auction goods and services. The vineyard’s winemaker will also offer a short presentation comparing Belle Fiore varietals with those from Tedeschi Winery, Hawai’i’s only commercial vineyard. General admission for adults is $22 (includes one glass of wine), and $12 for children and youth. Meal tickets sold separately at the lu’au for $10. A special $45 VIP Pass offers early entry, first views of Silent Auction items, express lines for food and drink, one glass of wine, premier seating, and a fresh lei. Tickets can be purchased at Houston’s Framing and Fine Art at 270 East Main Street and Belle Fiore Winery at 955 Dead Indian memorial Road (both in Ashland), online at ashlandhula.com, or at the door.
