Beginners welcome!
Hula is the traditional dance of story-in-motion from the islands of Hawai'i. In this ongoing class you will learn kahiko (ancient) hulas that retell the legends and history of the Hawaiian people. Classes are taught in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Ka Pi'o O Ke Anuenue ("the arc of the rainbow") is a hula school that offers classes for women, kids, and men. We hold an annual "Evening of Aloha" recital and perform at regional events including the Festival of Lights and Ashland's 4th of July Parade. Classes are taught by Andrea Luchese, MA, with the guidance and support of Kumu Hula Raylene Ha'alelea Kawaiae'a, from the Big Island.
