(Ashland, Ore.) On May 7 at 5:30 p.m. the Friends of Hannon Library will host a lecture from author and economist Donnie Mclurcan at SOU’s Hannon Library.


Mclurcan, who is known for holding the Guinness World Record for fastest foot journey across Australia, will discuss his new book How on Earth? Flourishing
In a Not-for-Profit World by 2050. Mclurcan has built a global reputation through his organization Project Australia, which has helped over 160 not-for-profit organizations start, scale, and sustain their work.


In his book, Mclurcan outlines his vision for an economy comprised mainly out of cooperatives, community interest companies, government-owned corporations, social businesses and social enterprises. Mclurcan will disscuss this and various other topics at the lecture.


This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Event attendees can park for free in the lot behind Hannon Library.
