Frog Farm will host the first Hope Mountain Herbal Gathering from Friday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 25th, 2011 at 9044 Takilma Road, nine miles southeast of Cave Junction. The Gathering is a family-friendly campout weekend providing educational, networking, and marketing opportunities for the herbal community and general public. Forty classes are being offered over three days, including hands-on workshops, herbal and edible plant identification walks, lectures, and demonstrations promoting self-care as well as continuing education for practitioners by knowledgeable teachers trained in botany, acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Western Herbal Medicine, Naturopathy, Midwifery, Wilderness Emergency Medicine, and more.

There will be an herbal marketplace, meals made with local food (pre-ordered only), and classes for children and teens. Joanne Rand will play Saturday night. Day passes are available for those not wanting to camp. As the site is a working Permaculture farm with livestock, there will be no dogs allowed. Cost for the weekend is $155 per adult w/camping prior to Sept. 20th, and $175 at the gate. Children aged 2-17 with an adult are $75 each. Day entrance fees are $50 adult/day (no camping), $25/day child. Class rate is $10 per 1 hour class, except CPR. There is a senior (over 65) discount as well as a discount for Spiral Living Center members. Partial work-trade positions are available. Camping space is limited and may be closed when full. Pre-registration encouraged.
