Join us at 7pm, Thursday July 22nd for a presentation by Colin White on, “Geocaching: An Educational Game for the Whole Family.”Geocaching is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. The idea is to place hidden containers (called geocaches) outdoors and share the geocache’s existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS device can then try to locate the geocache. Geocaching is enjoyed by people of all age groups and is a fun activity for the whole family. There are dozens of geocaches in Ashland, Medford and the surrounding area. This presentation provides an introduction to geocaching, looks at different types of geocaching, shows how devices from the Apple iPhone to GPS’s can be used for this, and explains how to get started in this fun game.
