RLA’s Third-Annual Free School Supplies Giveaway

School starts soon, and parents are helping their children round-up required school supplies.  For some families, the added expense for these items can be prohibitive or impossible. A group called Random Love Ashland (RLA) is reaching out to their neighbors again this year by offering free backpacks filled with basic school supplies to anyone who needs them. ARRIVE EARLY! FIRST COME – FIRST SERVED!

The backpacks and supplies valued at 25 dollars contain notebooks, pens, glue sticks, pencil sharpeners, erasers, pencil pouches and other items suitable for students grades K-8.  All the items are brand new. Any student may receive a backpack. No application necessary, no questions asked.

Also note: RLA’s “Resources for Lives in Transition Program” is a token-operated vending machine dispensing free personal care items Monday-Friday at the same location. Everyone is eligible, ask for the free tokens at the front desk.
