Here comes Labor Day and Southern Oregon's barbecue picnic for working people.

This year's honors the enormous contributions of the working class and celebrates our victories. In Southern Oregon, Wisconsin Solidarity was sparked last February and it has burned bright all summer.

Corporations vs. Working People. Southern Oregon Central Labor Council Labor Day Picnic and Barbecue

• Monday, September 5th, 2011

• Tou Velle State Park – 8425 Table Rock Road, Central Point

• Fun begins at 11 am with speakers & music, lunch served 12 pm – 2 pm

• Great Music; Tunes carry us through until 4pm

 

Free lunch: hamburgers, veggie burgers and hotdogs will be served by members of UFCW, the United Food and Commercial Workers.

This year's entertainment is huge with music by Patrick Dodd, Tami and Sarah Marston and Broadway Phil and the Shouters. Mickey Balloonman will entertain kids young and
old.

Admission is free, but be prepared to pay the State Park's parking fee of $5. Bring lawn chairs as picnic table space is limited.

This annual event is organized by the Southern Oregon Central Labor Council, Southern Oregon Jobs with Justice and local labor unions.
