Making Every Day Count with Rabbi David Zaslow

On Saturday, May 5 at 10:00 AM the Havurah will host a free bagel and lox brunch, which is called a Tish N Nosh, based on an old Hassidic tradition of sitting around the rabbi’s table to learn and enjoy a small meal together. Rabbi David will discuss the 50-day period between Passover and Shavuot. Each day has a specific theme regarding a personality attribute that can be fixeded, correct, and healed within. Judaism, like Buddhism, is a very psychologically based spiritual tradition, and this time period in April/May presents many opportunities for personal growth. Rabbi David will discuss in detail each of the seven Kabbalistic “sefirot,” (kindness, strength, beauty, understanding, etc.) and what they mean in terms of one’s own personalities. The event is free and open to all. Call 541-488-7716 to reserve your spot. The Havurah is located at 185 N. Mountain Ave. in Ashland.
